What to do if you’re running late for work
You should always aim to get to work before your scheduled start time to compensate for any traffic/transport issues. Your day is scheduled in a way that requires you to be on time for your shift in order for it to flow as planned.
If in the event that you are going to be late, text your co-worker and let them know. Phone numbers for all staff are in the tab of your roster file called ‘Staff Contact Details’. If you are running more than 15 minutes late the office staff will need to be informed upon opening (after 8:30am M-F, 9am Sat, 10.30am Sun) so that the remainder of your day can be planned accordingly.
What to do if you need to call in sick
You should try to give as much notice as possible when reporting illnesses that will keep you away from work. If you are aware you cannot work during business hours, let the office staff know. If it is outside of business hours, consult the tab in your roster file called ‘Sick Day Contact’. It will tell you which number to contact in order to let us know.
Any cancellations for rostered shifts within 24 hours of the start of the shift will require a medical certificate to be presented before your next shift begins.
